The witch has landed at my house and she didn’t land very well!   I am sure you have seen these around blog land but here is my own version.

I sent my daughters on a quest to find me two large pieces of wood / tree branches about  2- 3 feet tall and around 1 foot around.  They were sucessful! When they brought the two  branches home I had my husband saw one end of each of them so they were even enough to put a shoe onto.   I bought a pair of tights at shopko for 50% off so they were around 3 dollars.   I had my husband keep the other end of the branches pointy so they would stick into the ground better.

I pulled the tights onto each stick then filled in around them with plastic walmart grocery bags to give the legs a fuller look. I did not push the sticks to the end of the tights but instead just filled the foot of the tights with bags so I could bend them to look like a foot.  Once they legs were completely done I took an old pair of my daughters sunday shoes that no longer fit and sprayed them with spray glue then glittered them with red glitter while the glue was still wet.. Be careful if you use elmers spray glue it is REALLY sticky and you will be pulling glitter off of your fingers for a few days!

While the shoes dried I dug a hole in my flower bed that is next to my front door.  I put both legs into the hole (sharp end down) and then filled the dirt in around them.   Once the shoes were dry I put the shoes on the end of the sticks… making sure I bent the tights first to make it look like a foot!

I found the broom at Hobby Lobby for 40% off and ended up getting it for $4.00   This project overall cost around $8.00

I thought of maybe even putting a tutu around the top of the tights to look like her waist.. what do ya think?

Close up of her foot! Funny isn’t it?
