Halloween Hershey Kiss count down
I’m flying by my blog today to do a quick post about a craft I stumbled upon and just had to make! Directions can be found on Eighteen25 for this fun project.
I did change the color of the tabs on the Hershey kisses to give the board a little bit more color.
But here is a run down of how I did this project. I had my husband do all the cutting and tracing. He is a perfectionist when it comes to drawing the lines and making all the holes even.
So, he drew out all the lines/holes before the board was painted. He drilled the holes before I painted it. The tutorial that was given had a great supplies list.
I did find my scraps of wood at a construction site so no cost there and I used glitter paper from the dollar section at target instead of vinyl. So the orange lettering has a glitter look to it! (which I love) I used my own choice of font and cut the letters on my Cricut.
I found a spider web image online that I used to cut out on my Cricut so it is not the same spider web they used in the tutorial but I found it was pretty similar. I painted the web white then also sprinkled white glitter on top of the web to give it a glittery look.
I took the pictures in a hurry but overall love how it turned out. My board didn’t have a mat finish because I used mod podge over my letters since they were not vinyl. But the pictures make it look shinier then it really is. Can’t wait to start counting down the days until Halloween!
