10 minute Chicken Bacon Avocado Ranch Sandwich
Yes you read that right!!! Whew!! that’s a lot of words to read. I just felt like I couldn’t leave out any detail that described how delicious this sandwich is! I has so many components that make it amazing!!! Like it only takes 10 minutes to make, bacon, soft French bread, easy dinner idea, most everyone enjoys it, perfect for summertime, could take on a picnic and the list goes on!!! This sandwich is a summer time staple at my house. Usually around 3pm I’m feeling extra hot and tired then 4pm rolls around and I remember that people will demand to be fed in the next hour or so. When your hot and tired no one wants to spend hours slaving in the kitchen over a hot stove. Here is what you do run to the store or if you do a weekly grocery shop add this to your rotation. Buy a rotisserie chicken, loaf of French bread, 1 bagged salad, 1 tomato, an avocado if in season or pre-made guacamole, 1 bottle of ranch dressing, 1 package of pre sliced swiss cheese and 1 package of precooked bacon. How many of you have used this pre-cooked bacon?? If you haven’t tried it yet it is life changing!!! Yes that is right life changing! I never buy the regular kind and more, I hate how long it takes to cook, grease popping all over and a smoky house. Quite often I can find the pre-cooked kind on sale for 1.99, give pre-cooked bacon a try! I know the shopping list is a little long but, it is worth it and when you can have dinner done in 10 minutes, light and refreshing and doesn’t heat up your house then I am in.
Purchase your ingredients and then lets get cooking! Turn your oven onto 500 degree broil setting, then I like to do the most time consuming things first, this way I can do a quick assembly line to put the sandwich together. first slice your tomato and cut your French bread in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet. I also cut and shredded the rotisserie chicken. Place your precooked bacon and a microwave safe plate and microwave according to package directions. Squeeze the ranch dressing onto both sides of your French bread. I used about a 1/4 cup of dressing and spread it across the bread with a knife. You can use as much or little of the dressing, adjust it to your families liking.
Next top with shredded chicken, bacon slices and Swiss cheese. Place pan into the pre-heated oven for 1-2 minutes or until cheese melts. Then remove from oven.
Top with Avocado or guacamole sauce, sliced tomatoes, and lettuce or bagged salad. Place top of French bread over filling, then slice into single serving sizes. Feel free to adjust this recipe to your families liking. My niece doesn’t like Swiss cheese, I will leave a slice off the end if she is eating with us. My son like extra bacon and his without tomatoes. Take off or add more of the things your family likes. I hope you enjoy this light cool refreshing sandwich this summer season!
