My Frigidaire Do Over Moment

I try to look at all the positive in life and quite honestly I have very little regrets or “do over moments” in my life. I struggled coming up with something I would do over in my life if given the chance, while contemplating this I happened to look down at my leg and saw one of my regrets.

I was 17 years old and living a life of being carefree. I was not thinking of my future or beyond High School at that point. I was a senior in High School and on my way along with my then boyfriend to a State Championship Basket Ball game in another city. We were cruising along in his truck and we happened to pass a tattoo parlor. I spontaniously said that he should turn the truck around and we should go get tattoos. I think I took him by surprise but the next thing I knew we were in that tattoo parlor picking out tattoos. I didn’t even think of how permanent something like that would be.

I settled on the one that is pictured above and let the artist go to town on my ankle. Never once did they ask my age they just did it. I thought it was soo cool and showed the closeness of two people (little did I know I would have to explain it to my own children some day)
Next up was my boyfriend, he couldn’t decide so he went ahead and got a matching one!! on the same ankle in the same spot..
Well Big regrets

#1 because I had to hide it from my parents until I was over 18 and that was hard lying to them 🙁 (I hid it for a year)
#2 There a guy out there with the exact same tattoo on his leg and he is now my ex husband and father of two of my children. (yeah that’s fun)
#3 It is embarrassing to tell people what it is when they ask. Who knows what they are thinking
#4 It will cost over $1,000 to remove – (I can think of better things to spend that kind of money on)

Yeah if I could go back and do it all over again – there would be no tattoo. Live and learn right? For now I just laugh but if I could I definately would go back and redo it.

Too bad I can’t just wash my tattoo clean like dishes right?
