4th of July Land That I Love Freezer Paper Painted Pillow
I love any reason to create new décor and crafts for my home and porch. With the 4Th of July right around the corner, I noticed that my outdoor porch pillows were starting to look a little sun faded and shabby. This gave me a reason to create a new accent pillow for my porch. I decided to keep the background white and paint the design on using the freezer paper technique, hoping that it will last longer.
To create your own 4th of July Land That I Love Freezer Paper Painted Pillow you will need:
1/4 yard white fabric
Paint your choice in color ( I chose Navy)
Paint brush
Freezer paper
Personal cutting machine
Iron
Sewing machine or surger
scissors
Pillow form
When I sew pillows I like to use the envelope style pillow cover, you can use this tutorial from so much better with age to sew your own envelope pillow cover using the white fabric. After your pillow cover is sew download the free Land that I love cut file from lovesvg.com. Using your personal cutting machine adjust the cut file to desired size, cut design onto freezer paper.
Take freezer paper template and center the design on your pillow cover, iron the freezer paper design onto your fabric. Place a piece of paper inside your pillow to prevent bleeding from the paint. Paint over design and remove freezer paper before paint dries.
Allow to completely dry and then add pillow form. I can’t wait to add this New pillow to my 4th of July porch! How do you like to decorate for the 4th of July?
