4th of July Bunting

4th of July bunting

Over a year ago Avry and I made these coffee filter wreaths.  I still am in love with my wreath,  I usually keep it up year round.  I am always looking for ways to decorate it and keep it in play for the holiday’s.  I made this fun little bunting to hang over my wreath for the upcoming 4th of July holiday.  You could use this idea for any item you want to spruce up.  I cut 3 burlap triangles that measure 5″ tall by 4″ at wide at the top.  I found 3 scraps of 4th July holiday fabrics and cut them 4 1/2″ tall by 3 1/2″ wide at the top.  I used hot glue to glue each fabric piece in the center of the burlap.  Next I hot glued a white ribbon over the top layer of the fabric and burlap to connect all of the triangles together.  My wreath measures 16″  I cut my ribbon and 20″,  This way I have enough ribbon to wrap and tie it to the back of the wreath to hold the bunting in place.  I added a small piece of tulle with a star and gem at the comer of my last square to give it a little bling!  this project was done in 10 minutes total that was cutting and gluing together.  It’s a quick way to bring a little holiday flare to your everyday décor!
