There is always a date night, pool day, last minute grocery trip, girls night out or sporting event that requires some preparedness. We’ve come up with some great clear vinyl pouches that are small enough to fit inside of a purse or beach bag but large enough to fit all the necessities for an outing.
Our first idea was a girls / women’s pouch mainly because I have 3 teenage daughters that are into the dating scene and they are always throwing in last minute items into their bags or purses. I wanted something to help them be more organized and prepared while dealing with High School activities and dating so they weren’t running around at the last minute. We used vinyl because it is clear and you can see what is inside of the pouch. Inside of this pouch we filled it with girl items such as Lipstick, Tampons, Ibuprofen, Facial Tissues and of course who could forget something to make your breath smell fresh and minty so we threw in some Extra® gum!!
I got thinking about those times when everyone is standing around and one person brings out a stick of gum then next thing you know everyone wants a stick and of course you want to share so I included the new Extra® 35-stick pack so there wouldn’t be a problem of running out any time soon! What was great about this is that I found these large Extra® 35-stick packs right as I was checking out at the register at my local Smith’s Grocery store (a Kroger store)! I loved that I didn’t have to run all over the store looking for them and that they were easy to access!
So, I wanted to share my excitement with my readers so here are some great instructions on how you can create your own Vinyl pouch and include your own necessities to get you through your day!
As you can see this is a super simple process! We were able to whip up 2 pouches in less than 15 minutes. While making these I thought it would be a great idea to give these pouches as gifts! My daughters were on board with making several for their friends! that is where the ideas of pouches being filled with other items came into play but the same common theme was having Extra® Gum on hand!
We live in an HOA so we have a pool right up the street that my girls go to almost every day during the summer. These pouches are great to throw into a beach bag on your way out the door. Of course my girls take friends with them and always want to have items on hand to share with their friends.
In the Beach pouch we included sunscreen, sunglasses, chapstick and of course some Extra® gum. Have you seen or tried the new Extra® 35-stick packs? What I love about them is that they come in a hard plastic container so the gum won’t get squished in your purse and I also love that you could easily re use or upcycle the plastic container when you are out of gum. Or better yet you could easily refill it with more Extra® gum. Look how simple these pouches slide into your purse and how easy it is to know what it inside of the clear vinyl! What would you put in your pouch besides Extra® gum?

I always use Ziplock bags, but these vinyl bags are so cute. I might have to make a bunch for me and my girls to take to the beach this summer.

These pouches would be great for a trip to the beach or the pool. It’s a great way to keep all your stuff together, because little things like gum and stuff tend to get lost in my purse or pool bag.

I love this! What a great idea! I always need a nice little bag to store stuff in my purse, and I love that it is water proof.

What a great idea! I love how those vinyl pouches turned out and that they’re clear (I love being able to see everything I packed, that makes things so much easier.) Wrigley’s Extra® gum is my favorite.

Those vinyl pouches can come in handy for my phone when I run. This can really be useful especially when you want to sort and segregate your stuff.

I love the idea of the vinyl pouches. Sturdy and great to take around. I wouldn’t ever think to do something like this though, duh me. I love it. Will have to do it for our long bus/subway rides!

I’ve never tried sewing with vinyl. These would be neat for my daughter. She loves to organize her “tiny pieces” (stuff from Littlest Petshop, Shopkins etc)

I need to make some of these right now! My purse has a serious organization problem and these would be a great solution.
