A Reindeer and a sleigh
I love it when your friend pins things on pinterest and puts in their notes “For Avry to make” I have to admit it is hilarious yet motivating to create when something has been pinned. This next project started out small then snowballed into something huge and much more time consuming then I ever imagined.
To my sisters, sisters in law, mother, mother in law etc. If you leave me a comment on this post I will make sure one of these will be yours! (Krystal you are a soul sister) haha!
So where did this inspiration come from?? (besides pinterest & Krystal) a little blog called Craft Goodies She even includes step by step instructions on what you need to make this project! The pictures are deceiving as the reindeer and sled are much bigger than they look. We struggled with some of the dimensions listed so we altered it until we got the set to our desired size.
I am proud to say I used everything from home and did not purchase anything to make these except 4 or 5 wooden dowels.
My once again amazing husband cut, drilled, and sanded all the wood! He even painted a little with me. Have I mentioned my hubby is a gem??
Raw wood just cut and sanded.
there was sawdust everywhere with this project!
Next came the painting. I refused to purchase anything at the store on this project so I made due with what colors of toll paint I had at my house. So my reindeer turned out darker but that is okay I really like the color! Can you tell I am doing somewhat of an assembly line? If I only make one for myself then of course my mom & sisters will want one so I have just learned to make extra sets of everything I do so everyone can enjoy them like I do.
I love how cute their little faces are!~
The sleigh, with lots of fun embelishments!
I can’t wait to see what my family thinks of these cute sets!
