“And to all a good night” wood sign painted in Christmas Red

Approximately 11 months ago (last Christmas) I saw this darling sign on Pinterest that said “And to all a goodnight” and I fell in love with it right on the spot. I just knew I needed that had to have that saying somewhere in my home.  I went on the hunt for the maker of this beautiful sign (which took me from one blog to the next until I found it on Feather and Birch in her Etsy Store. But unfortunately it was no longer available.  I figured I could make it myself so I set out to do so. I wanted my version to have some color so I chose the good old traditional Christmas red paint.

To all sign

I also  wanted it visible for everyone to see and I knew if I hung it above a bed in my house no one would get to see how absolutely darling it was. So, yes I made this sign for my front entry last Christmas and I am only now getting around to posting about it! YIKES!!

I have the perfect little spot above an old hanging window in my front entry for a sign like this. I change out my signs for each holiday so this sign fit in perfectly! My husband took a pine board and cut it for me on the saw. It ended up measuring out to 16″ in length and 4″ in height and painted it red.  While it was drying I headed over to my Personal vinyl cutting machine, picked my font, inserted the text and cut away! I applied my vinyl phrase, added a bracket to the back and it was ready to hang.

To all a good night

It was such an easy and fast sign that I was able to whip up in less than 30 minutes! Yet it added so much to my front entry.
