Baby Boy Hand made card
Baby Boy embossed tag handmade card
For card group in August our theme was Baby cards. I decided to go with a boy theme and wanted to do a card that included a small tag.
I used light blue and yellow as my colors. The background of the front of the card was blue feet prints and I put an overlay of vellum on top of the paper. Next I cut some coordinating plaid paper and lined the bottom 1/4 of the card with the plaid paper. To give it some character I stapled the plaid paper on. This formed a pocket on the bottom half of the front of the card that I could stick the tag into.
Next, I used a stamp and stamped the saying “little bundle of joy” onto cardstock I cut around each stamp and added some yellow brads to the corners I applied it with the foam double sided sticky adhesive to make that portion of the card pop out. I cut small tag like shapes and punched holes in the top to thread ribbon through.
I used a hand stamp and embossed the hand on the tag to give it some dimension. For final touches I glued some light yellow ribbon along the top of the card and added some ribbon to the tag of the card. This card opened from the right so you can leave your own little message inside for the new mother! I seriously love how this card turned out! I had so much fun making it and can’t wait to give it to someone with a new baby boy!
