Baby Boy Snail Card

baby boy snail card

If you have been keeping up with us this week, I have shared 2 baby boy gift idea posts earlier in the week.  I decided why not keep up with the baby boy trend.  Today I am sharing with you a baby boy card using snails.  This was a fun really simple card to make,  I used a green background for both versions of the card.  I cut 2 different pattern papers for the main background,  I used a strip of Kraft cardstock to stamp the Baby Boy sentiment onto and then used staples to attach the Kraft cardstock strips to the base of the card.  I used my scallop punch to create the white scalloped edge on the white strip of cardstock.  I glued the white scalloped cardstock in the center of the card and then tied and glued a ribbon across the bottom of the white cardstock.   I stamped the snail in brown ink on the Kraft cardstock and hand cut around the snail.  I used a pop dot to place the snail onto the card, then hot glued buttons on the bottom of the snail image to make him look like he was rolling along.  I don’t often enjoy creating cards for boys, this one turned out really fun and I love the sentiment.  I used to different Stampin up sets, and a variety of cardstock I had on hand to create these cards.  Have fun re-creating this layout with your own supplies!

This is adorable! I was just at a store today looking at some cards that were very unique, and I was thinking how fun it could be to make cards – like yours! You are very creative and the cards are so nice!
