Beachy Sea Horse boards

Beachy sea horse boards

For my sarcastic welcome boards, I was overly ambitious.  I had great plans of making 16 of those for friends, family and maybe a few to sell.  I painted my little heart out and managed to get 16 of the fully painted with polka dots and stripes.  I began cutting and getting the vinyl ready, if you have ever done vinyl the peeling process can get very tedious!  The end result was I actually only finished 6 of the sarcastic welcome boards.  Well at least I got some of them done!  Here I was with 10 painted ready to go darling boards.   I needed to do something with them.  I have been loving all of the beach themed décor, I am seeing around.  The colors I had  painted these boards fit right in that beach theme.  I had purchased some gold vinyl and decided to cut some sea horses out of the gold vinyl, and place it on some of these pre-painted boards.

I love how they came out.  By far this was one of my easiest craft ventures.  One tip I will give, if you purchase any metallic vinyl, The vinyl is stiff and foil like.  Normally I can cut vinyl with my blade adjusted at a 2.  I had to adjust my blade to a 3  to get it to cut all the way through the vinyl.  Just to save you a little heartache!  I had to cut and re-cut a few times until I figured out the right adjustment.  Give these cute sea horse boards a try.  They will defiantly brighten up your summer décor!
