Beadboard 4th of July Star

I am sure you have seen these all over blogland because they are quite popular this year! I decided to jump on the bandwagon and make some just because well I can AND how could you not they are SOO cute!

I just traced a Larger star onto 2″ pine and then a smaller star onto beadboard. Cut out on the scroll saw, painted, sanded edges, antiqued, nailed together, added some wired to hang it, added a ribbon and there ya go! Very easy and festive! This took me less than an hour to do. After I did this I was told this same pattern is at the wood connection down south about an hour from me in Murray. Check out there site www.thewoodco.blogspot.com in the future I may just buy all my wood already cut down there!! I stopped in there and they have the cutest stuff!!
