Bewitching Trick or Treat Bag

bewitching trick or treat bag

A few years back I picked up some canvas tote bag kits, they were marked 90 percent off at my local craft store.  Score!!! Right??? well I thought it was a score, until  I opened the packages and realized the bags had designs printed on them.  I had not realized that the design was actually on the bag,  I thought the pictures were giving ideas of what you could do with them.  I know you are think a pre-design canvas bag may not  be a bad thing, but these designs were less that desirable.  I stuck them in a drawer the and began the think about it process, where they bags were eventually long forgotten about!  This year as I was looking for ribbons and other items to create several of these Halloween prizes.  I came across the canvas bags,  I pulled them out and knew these could be perfect trick or treat bags.  This was the solution to my problem, I cut a large square of burlap.  Next I cut the witch design using my personal cutting machine out of iron on vinyl.  I ironed the witch cut out on the burlap, next I hot glued the burlap over the design on the front of the canvas bag.  Then Avry and I got to work bedazzling the witch.  Avry added the ribbons on her hat and I made the orange burlap flower to dress up the corner of the bag.  I was really pleased with how well it turned out and Happy that we could finally find something to do with the canvas bags.
