Black and Gold Halloween Banner
Let me admit I am in love with gold! there I said it. I never thought in a million years I would be wearing gold jewelry and decorating my house with gold accents. Heck! my wedding ring isn’t even gold, up until a year ago I would have gagged if you gave me anything gold! Now, here I am a year later decorating and incorporating gold into every craft I make! I am really digging the black and gold for Halloween this year, I think it brings a really classy effect to Halloween decorations. I decided to whip up a classy Halloween banner. I selected a few black and white patterned cardstock papers. I used my personal cutting machine to cut the pennants for the banner, I set the to cut 4″ by 6″. I have a drawer full of chip board letters, I dug through the drawer and selected letters to spell the word “Spooky”. I spread the letters on some newspaper and then painted a layer of Mod Podge on each letter. while the Mod Podge was still wet I sprinkled a layer of gold glitter to cover the entire letter. I let the letters dry and then hot glued them on the cut cardstock pennants. Last I glued a black ribbon across all of the pennants to connect them together. This was a quick simple and classy project for Halloween. I can’t wait to hang it over my fireplace.
