Boy Birthday card idea’s & Free printable background

For card group last month our theme was for either a boy or male birthday cards.  I had been having a hard time coming up with a fun idea since you just can’t add all the sparkle and bling to the boy cards like you can for girl cards.  So, both Avry and I decided to keep it simple this time.  I have had this dinosaur stamp set for years and have never used it!  I decided it was time to put the stamp set to use.  I created the Have a dino-mite birthday background on my computer.  Next, I stamped my dinosaurs using diffent colors in the space below the wording.  For the T-rex I stamped him using versa mark, then used an orange glitter embossing powder and heat gun to give it some texture and shine.  I added two strips of bakers twin to make the card pop a little.  This card measures 4 1/4″ by 5 1/2″.  I am including the sentiment background as a free printable in a word document below.  You could easily add clip art dinosaurs to the backgroud if you don’t have any dinosaur stamps. Avry found this great idea for her card atsStamped Treasures. She loved how simple and funny the idea was. So, she decided to re-create it because men love a good laugh right? And of course we all know men don’t look at all the little details like women do. So, a simple card is always better for a man/boy card. Hopefully whatever man/boy receives this birthday card loves a little “potty humor”!
