Easter Bunny Basket Bags

bunny basket bag

Way back in the 80’s my mom made all of us kids one of these Bunny Basket bags for Easter.  I have many fond memories of putting our bunny out each year and then the Easter bunny would come fill our bunny with Easter treats.  These little bunny basket bags served as our Easter basket for many years.  A few years ago on Easter I noticed that one of the Bunny basket bags was out and filled, it was for my brother who still lives at home.  I had completely forgotten about these bags.  This year I asked my mom if she still had any of the Bunny basket bags around.  She wasn’t able to find an original one that she had made but, she was able to find the pattern for me.  I was going to try and recreate the Bunny Basket bags on my own, hey I will take a pattern any day!  I got to work making these fun little bunnies for my own family.  I let me kids pick out the fabrics they wanted for their own bunny.

I also made a few others to fill and give to friends and neighbors.    The pattern is copyrighted so I can’t share the pattern but, I was able to find it for sale on EBay  the pattern is called Bunny Bliss.  If you are interested in making your own bunny bags you can find and purchase the  pattern on Ebay.  My kids are so excited to leave these little bunnies out on Easter eve to be filled by the Easter bunny.
