Patriotic 4th of July Sign
During one of our yard sale trips, we were able to find 2 cabinet doors that were painted and finished with handles. I had originally thought this navy blue one would make a great tray. With the upcoming 4th of July holiday, I changed my mind and thought it would look classy with a nice patriotic saying on it. That is how the idea of the Patriotic 4th of July Sign came to be. We always love finding items that are mostly finished and then adding our own touch to them. what kind of items do you look for at yard sales or thrift stores? Check out the video below…

Old fashioned Denim USA Banner
For some reason I have a ton of old Denim jeans laying around my house. My son is incredibly hard on pants and often tears or splits the seams. Throwing away good fabric is not something I like to do especially when just the seam ripped out. Saving them for over a year, I finally decided I need to come up with a project to use some of them. This is where my idea came in to play to create an Old Fashioned Denim USA Banner. To create your own Old fashioned Denim USA Banner you will need: Old Denim Jeans Cuttle bug machine and banner die cut/ or paper…

Painted Rustic Wooden Patriotic Star and Stripe Tags
A few months ago my husband was building a lemonade stand for our daughter. He had used dog eared fencing to create the base and roof of the stand. He ended up cutting off the dog eared sections and ask if I wanted to save or use them for a craft project. Well, I’m kind of a craft supply hoarder and I added them into my wood pile stash. Last week as I was looking through the woodpile I had that moment where I saw the fence boards and knew exactly what they could be used for! Tags! Yes, wooden tags! I have been seeing so many different ideas with…

Star Spangled Banner Fourth of July Home Decor’
The Star Spangled Banner is one of my all time favorite Fourth of July songs and how could I pass up the opportunity to make a craft with some of the words of the song? Stumbling across this darling SVG file from MissSeasonVinylcuts on Pinterest I was willing to get the file and make one myself! She did all the hard work and the rest was a breeze! Using what wood I had in my garage I cut my board into a 8″x 12″ size then painted it white. The merging of two different colors and aligning the fonts was the tricky part but it works! I cut the vinyl…

4th of July Land That I Love Freezer Paper Painted Pillow
I love any reason to create new décor and crafts for my home and porch. With the 4Th of July right around the corner, I noticed that my outdoor porch pillows were starting to look a little sun faded and shabby. This gave me a reason to create a new accent pillow for my porch. I decided to keep the background white and paint the design on using the freezer paper technique, hoping that it will last longer. To create your own 4th of July Land That I Love Freezer Paper Painted Pillow you will need: 1/4 yard white fabric Paint your choice in color ( I chose Navy) Paint brush Freezer paper…

Hobby Lobby knock off Fireworks sign
while scrolling through social media one day, I came across an advertisement for some 4th of July decorations at Hobby Lobby. They had a darling sign that said “fireworks” in the advertisement. After looking more closely at the advertisement, I decide that the fireworks sign was actually a chalkboard that they had written the word on. I knew I wanted to create something similar but, I wanted mine to be a long term piece that I could add to my seasonal decorations. I decided to create a framed sign that looked like it was a chalkboard with writing but, use regular black paint and white vinyl to make it permanent.…

Vintage Fourth of July Glitter Star Truck Pillow
Do you remember the cute Vintage St. Patrick’s Clover Truck Pillow I did back in February? If you are a follower of mine you will remember the FREE red truck holiday SVG files that Christine over at Cutting for Business was kind and generous enough to share!! Quick tip though – Don’t click on any of the “Download buttons” on her page. There is a tiny link towards the end of her page that says “Zip Files” and those are the easiest way to get the images! So Christine used the Vintage Fourth of July truck image on a mug but Krystal and I decided to put the image on a pillow!…
