Valentine shadow box
Valentine Shadow box My inspiration for this shadow box came from this darling card. I had thought about making a similar card using the same idea. I loved the idea so much, that I wanted it to be a lasting decoration. I had this shadow box that I was going to use at Christmas time (I picked up at our local thrift store for $2.00) but, I never got around to doing it. I decided to use the shadow box for this project. I thought I would never say this but I am loving gold right now. I pick this gold glitter polka dot paper for the background in the…

Love songs free printables “Day 1”
Love songs free printable’s “Day 1” Avry and I were sitting around one night, pulling up classic love songs on you tube listening and make each other guess what song we had thought of. We had a great idea of turning some of the lyrics from these classic love songs into printable’s. Isn’t it funny how you can hear or read a line from a song and it clicks you remember and can start singing along. I think we ended up finding 20 or so classic love songs. There are so many good love songs out there. To prepare for valentines, we will be sharing a few love song printable’s…

Snowflake picture stand “Frosty’s Baby Picture”
Snowflake picture stand “Frosty’s Baby Picture” I love the idea of Frosty’s baby picture. I saw this idea on Pinterest yet the one I saw was a block of wood with a simple snowflake painted on and a caption below the snowflake that said Frosty’s baby picture. For this project I chose to make a layered picture frame stand. To make this I used a candle stick, a thick 4×6 frame and a decorative craft frame found at Michael’s. I painted my regular frame and candle stick white the decorative craft frame blue and added glitter. Next, I glued the decorative craft frame on top of the regular frame, and…

Holiday Home Décor Week “Christmas Plate, Frames and Shadowboxes”
Holiday Home Décor Week “Christmas Plate, Frames and Shadowboxes” I like to use Plates and frames when making home décor. It gives you a quick start on a project. I usually find my plates and frames at garage sales and the dollar store. Making these types of projects quick and inexpensive. For the Grinch plate, I purchased the plate at the dollar store. I cut and layered vinyl on the plate. I purchased the frame at a garage sale. I painted the frame white, then cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit inside. I purchased the gold glitter deer at the dollar store, and hot glued it on to…

A bushel and a peck framed art
I love you a bushel and a Peck I loved my grandma Nielson she was the best grandma a girl could ask for. She loved her grandkids – I saw my sister Jeralee pin this quote on pinterest over a year ago and she said how it reminded her of Grandma. My heart melted when I read it because my cute little grandma used to sing this.. a lot especially if you were small enough to be lifted on her lap. She would bounce you on her knee and sing this. As I got older she would hug and kiss my forehead and sometimes sing it to me. Oh the…

Burlap Framed Christmas Art
Burlap Framed Christmas Art I’m telling you this is the year of Burlap for me! Last night I needed some craft Therapy. For some reason crafting gets me out of my funk and back into my groove. We started pinning to our own secret craft board on Pinterest of crafts that made the cut and we were going to make. This next project made that final cut! I went dashing through the snow to my Friends house and she already had the frames painted and ready to go. She used the remaining casing from when she finished her basement to put the frames together. These frames are quite large the…

3D Framed Pumpkin
3D pumpkin This is another fast easy project. Much like the 3D spider I made. This was done on a 5×7 frame. Took a pumpkin from the dollar store. Cut it in half & glued it onto the glass portion of the frame, add a twig for the stem and a little ribbon. Put some cute scrapbook paper behind the glass and easy enough you have some fall décor! There are several versions of this going around and I can see why. It is super cute, fast and cheap to make!
