All opinions are mine alone. #SickDaySolutions #CollectiveBias #ad I am a full time working mom that commutes an hour each way to work. To say that my plate is full is an understatement. During the winter months it snows, gets cold and with my schedule it is more likely for me to get a cold or the flu. I don’t have time to be sick but when I am I like to be prepared. Most common cold’s linger for longer than we would like so I came up with this handy Kick…

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #GIVEEXTRAGETEXTRA #Kroger #ad #CollectiveBias There is always a date night, pool day, last minute grocery trip, girls night out or sporting event that requires some preparedness. We’ve come up with some great clear vinyl pouches that are small enough to fit inside of a purse or beach bag but large enough to fit all the necessities for an outing. Emergency preparedness candle kits Quite a while ago our ward did Emergency preparedness candle kits but I of course didn’t do them that night I was a big procrastinator and just barely got mine done. They are 5″ x 1.5″ candles will burn for 8 to 10 hours. I made 5 jars – one for each level of my home then extra’s just…

How to make freezer apple pie filling
Freezer apple pie filling I received some apples that were given to me by a neighbor who got them from her father’s apple trees. She gave me an entire large rubber maid container full. I’ve made dried apples & a lot of freezer apple pie filling The process of making apple pie filling was much easier then I had anticipated. I borrowed an apple corer/peeler from a friend and spent 30 minutes coring enough apples for 32 cups! I doubled my recipe but here is a single batch recipe: Print Freezer apple pie filling Recipe type: Dessert Prep time: 45 mins Cook time: 15 mins Total time: 1 hour Serves: 5…

Canning Spaghetti Sauce.. with a victorio
Canning Spaghetti Sauce using a victorio It has been a LONG time since I have canned Spaghetti sauce and it is almost like having a baby.. okay not really but you forget how painful the process is! So, that is comparable to childbirth right? I ran out and bought a Victorio strainer because in my mind it would make the process so much easier then boiling the tomatoes and peeling the skin off right? Sure, if you want runny spaghetti sauce. I am a thick kind of girl.. I like things in my life to be “thick” I like my man with a little meat on his bones, I like…

Freezer Meals for your family
Freezer Meals for your family As a full time working mother of four kids my life is really hectic. It is all I can do to stay on top of my home, appointments, lessons, school schedules, church and of course meals! The last thing I want to do when I walk through the door after a long day at work is to cook. What’s even worse is when my kids are texting me before I leave from work asking what is for dinner! So, I finally took the time to prepare some freezer meals and freezer short cuts to make my evenings go a lot smoother. First off I took…
