It is coming upon us – the month of Love. Even if you don’t have a significant other to celebrate it with you can still enjoy the holiday of Valentines by decorating in Hearts ! Last Summer Krystal and I made some darling little boards that had some wooden frames around the exterior of them. We used scrap pieces (of Course) of any wood we could find. We knew we wanted to put something fun in them but of course they got pushed aside for another day. Well, the day came when we dug deep into our scrap bins and found these cute little frames we had made. Krystal painted…

Kiss me you fool! block
We did a little girls craft night during the super bowl. This was a fun and simple project for all of the ladies that attended our super bowl party. we had various sizes of 2″ by 4″ wood boards, some were 7″ or 9″ long. We painted the wood blocks white. While they were drying I arranged a few templates on my personal cutting machine. Some of the blocks said “shut up and kiss me” , “kiss me you fool” , and ” Can I barrow a kiss, I promise I will give it back?” I cut all of these different sayings in red vinyl. After the boards were completely dry…

Rustic wooden Heart
I fell in love with the wooden pallet hearts I have seen all over in the crafting world. I came up with a simple way to recreate my own wooden heart. I have been saving some wood flooring scraps to use for this project. I simply made myself a giant heart pattern out of paper, then I took 3 pieces of wood flooring and hooked them together using the tongue and groove that is already part of each wood piece. I traced my paper heart pattern onto the wood flooring, and then cut the heart design using a jig saw. I used liquid nails to glue the tongue and grove…

Valentine Play on words Board
Back in the summer time I fell in love with this 4th of July board over at the crafted sparrow. I have had it in the back of my mind ever since I saw it. I decided I didn’t want to wait until summer to create my own. I used her same style of template and came up with some fun Valentine words to put on my own board. I decided to keep mine really simple and did not add the wood trim. I painted a 8 1/2″ by 15 1/2 ” board white. While it was drying I created the template for the wording using my personal cutting machine. …

Love you More!
When my son was little we used to have contests on who could say they loved each other more. I would tell him I loved him and he would respond with “I love you more” this would go on and on.. I would say “I love you to infinity and beyond” then he would try to top me with “I love you to the moon and back” or “I love you more than you can think or say” One day when I dropped him off at school he told me that he loved me and got out of the car so fast that I couldn’t respond so I rolled…

Valentines Block favors
I’m always looking for a fast and simple gift for each holiday to give friends or neighbors. I whipped up these small blocks in just an hour. I painted them a light pink then once dry gave them a good sanding to sand off the edges. I found these cute cut and ink sayings on the Cricut design site. I put my silver pen in the Cricut and it did all the work for me! Once the cardstock I picked was cut and written on I went to work embellishing the cute blocks with these sayings. I had a lot of fun making them and now have a few small…

Glittered Heart Arrow
I am in love with this arrow craze! I just can’t get enough of all of the different arrow designs! I decided to put one of these fun arrows on a piece of wood flooring. I love using leftover wood flooring for projects. The fact that the wood is pre-cut and already stained, saves so much time. I cut this darling arrow heart design using my personal cutting machine out of white vinyl. I centered and applied the vinyl arrow on to my wood board. To give it a little something extra. I painted Mod Podge over the heart and sprinkled a fun deep pink glitter onto the heart. This project…

Bless your heart Valentines board
As I was wandering through a little gift shop, I came across a darling sign that read “well bless your heart”. I instantly knew this was a perfect little saying for Valentines day. I came home and got to work designing a template that I could cut and put on a board. I used some pre-cut scrap wood that I had laying around. I paint the boards gray and let them dry. Next I cut My saying out of white vinyl using my personal cutting machine. I applied the vinyl saying in the center of the board. It was still kind of plain and needed a little something. I decided to…
