There are so many things I love about this time of year especially the spirit of giving and one of the ways I love to give is through holiday baking. I enjoy knowing that my gift is homemade, that it fills my home with delicious aroma’s and when I bake it always seems to bring my family to the kitchen to socialize!
We are a society filled with stuff so I love to find consumables to give to my neighbors and friends. Baked goods always seem to get devoured up through the holiday season so I enjoy giving treats and goodies! Every year I enjoy being especially creative and try to come up with Recipes that are unique and different. This year I did just that! As my readers hopefully know by now – I am a huge Coca-Cola product fan and I always have it on hand. So, this year I decided to incorporate Coca-Cola into my traditional holiday baking!
I like shopping at Family Dollar because they always have what I need and they are within a close proximity of my home. I headed there to gather some baking supplies and of course my Coca-Cola! They had a fun Coca-Cola holiday display so finding what I was looking for was really easy!
When I had all the ingredients I needed I headed home, turned on the Holiday tunes and began mixing and baking!
To make your own Coca-Cola holiday spiced bread with glaze, In a large bowl add 2 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 cup of Coca-Cola, and 2/3 cup of vegetable oil.
Mix the wet ingredients together with a whisk. Next add 2 cups sugar, 4 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves, 2 tablespoons baking powder, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon salt.
Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees and coat pans with cooking spray. Spoon batter into pans until mixture reaches 1 inch below the top of pan. Bake 40-50 minutes until toothpick inserted in loaf comes out clean.
While the bread is baking you can mix up a quick and easy Coca-Cola glaze. Mix 1 cup powdered sugar and 1/4 cup Coca-Cola in a bowl. Drizzle Coca-Cola glaze over loaves of bread.
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. Coca-Cola
- 1 c. milk
- ⅔ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- ½ tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- Glaze
- 1 c. powder sugar
- ¼ c. Coca-Cola
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs, milk, Coca-Cola, and oil. Add sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, ground cloves, cinnamon, vanilla and combine all ingredients. Spray baking pans and pour mixture an inch below the top of baking pan to compensate for the rise. Bake 40-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
I love to create fun over the top tags and packaging for my baked goods. Print off my free printable tags below, then cut out the tags and punch a hole in the corner of each tag.

Cut large pieces of cellophane, wrap the cellophane around your bread loaf and secure with a piece of tape. Bring the sides of the cellophane to the top center of your loaf of bread and tie a piece of jute to hold the cellophane in place. Next cut and attach a few pieces of ribbon using the jute to tie the ribbons in place. Last add the Coca-Cola Spice Bread tag on the jute and tie in place.
Tie jute around the top of your Coca-Cola bottle, add additional ribbons and Joyful tag tie in place with jute.
What I love about this bread is that you can make it in a large loaf to accommodate a large family or small single sized loaves to cater to a single person! I feel it is important to bring Joy to those that are near and dear to me. Delivering a warm loaf of Holiday Spiced Bread to my neighbor’s and Co-workers always seems to bring a smile to their face! Do you do any holiday baking and if so what special ingredients do you use? While shopping for your special ingredients don’t forget to check out Family Dollar for all your baking needs!
