“DIY” No Sew Polka Dot Spring Banner

I have seen all kinds of fun printed burlap and knew I wanted them.  Then I went and looked at the price of these printed burlap fabric’s and saw that they were  $15 per yard!!! Yikes that is a lot of money! uhhhh no thanks!!!  even with a coupon for 40-50 off it still isn’t worth that price for me.  I can usually buy plain burlap for $2 a yard on sale or with a coupon.  I came home and decided to see how difficult it would be to create my own.  Believe it or not this banner only took 15 minutes to make.  It was so simple and I just improvised with things I already had on hand!

Step 1: Cut 5 triangles out of burlap or any fabric you have on hand
Step2: I used a water bottle lid, dip in paint and stamp on burlap. I also added a pinch of glitter, while the paint was still wet.

Step 3: let dry (they dry very quick)

Step 4: glue ribbon or lace across 5 triangles using either crafters glue, fabric glue or hot glue (any will work).  We actually made two of these banners and they got used at a wedding last year. They turned out really cute!
