I am excited to show you today on how to make your own DIY Patriotic Fourth of July Ribbon Wreath

I have loved making the mesh wreaths and recently saw a ribbon wreath in the craft store.  In looking over the ribbon wreaths I decided that they wouldn’t be that hard to make on my own. That is where a little research on internet came in handy. Check out this great you tube video I found on how to make your own ribbon wreath.  Just slightly altering my wreath I chose not to add the tail of ribbons at the bottom.  The video will give you a great start to making you own ribbon wreath and you can decide how you want to alter your own.

for my ribbon wreath I used:

Medium size metal wreath frame

5 rolls of ribbon that were 15 feet long each (you will need 30 feet if you add the tail)

approx. 30 zip ties

First your will stack you ribbon choices on top of each other and roll together into one large ribbon roll.

You will pinch the ribbons together and attach the ends of the ribbon to the wire wreath from using a zip tie.

You will use the width of your hand to measure each loop of ribbon and then attach each loop using a zip tie to the wire wreath form.  The wreath form has 4-6 sections marked depending on the size of form.  Each section should hold 7-8 ribbon loops.  you will loop and zip tie the ribbon until the wreath form is full.  After the form is full you will make sure each zip tie is tight and clip the excess plastic off of the zip ties.

At this point your will flip your wreath over. Pull and fluff the ribbons out until you get your desired look. The main pictures didn’t turn out as I would have liked but I hope you get the idea! Being patriotic and showing red white and blue really get me in the spirit of the holiday.
