Wooden disc earrings
My inspiration for these earrings came from The 36th Avenue . She had made wood drink coasters. I loved the patterns and designs she used and thought those patterns would would make great earrings. I purchased a pack of wooden round disc’s from Michaels. I stained most of the disc’s and used contact paper to make the designs on the wood discs. I also cut templates on my silhouette machine, I found some great free svg file backgrounds at Birdscards. On 36th Avenue she had spray painted her coasters. But I felt spray paint was a bit much for these small earrings. So for a durable glittery paint I chose to use nail polish! Low and behold nail polish works amazingly well especially with the tiny brush plus the color’s are endless. After I painted my stencils on the wooden discs and let them dry I used a fine drill bit to drill tiny holes in the discs. Lastly, I used a jump ring and an earring hook to attach them to the wooden discs. The creativity with these earrings are endless. This was a fun way to give a personal touch to my wardrobe because I could create my own colors to match my outfits!
