Dollar store pedestal Halloween Crow

crow

I have seen  several variations of decorated black crows for Halloween.  I was surprised at how quick and easy it was to create my own Halloween Crow.

To make your own Halloween crow you will need:

Black fake crow – I found mine at the Dollar store!

small fake pumpkin – This can also be found at the Dollar store

candle stick – Garage sale or Dollar store

Black spray paint

ribbon

designed scrapbook paper

ribbon

Flexible wire

Embellishments – (jewels, spiders, baker’s twine)

hot glue

First if your candle stick is not already painted black you will want to spray paint it black. Once your candle stick is dry you will glue your small fake pumpkin to the black candlestick. The dollar store has some great glitter pumpkins and some cute glitter crows.

Using wired orange ribbon for the ruffle around the crows neck you’ll want to pull one side of the wire to create the ruffle. Measure the neck of the crow and hot glue the ruffled ribbon around the crows neck.

Make the party hat by rolling designed cardstock into a cone and glue it together. Stick a cut piece of wire into the center of the cone hat and glue a plastic spider onto the top of the hat.  Once the cone is ready hot glue the cone hat onto the crow.  In addition you will want to glue the crow on top of the pumpkin. Last I tied several ribbons around the base of my candlestick and added a darling little jewel.

Didn’t he turn out so cute! Furthermore the funny thing is I cannot believe that I am calling a crow cute! But honestly there are so many variations out there and this crow is definitely not only ready for Halloween but he is ready to party it up!
