Flamingo Card
I was having a little trouble coming up with an idea for our upcoming card swap this month. I needed to make 10 girlish birthday cards. Later that day I had walked over to Avry’s house to find she had bought herself a new Cricut Explore Air machine. She had been playing on it for a few hours and had figured out how it use it pretty well. I own the original Cricut machine and haven’t used it in a while, to be honest I had a difficult time with the cartridges and just felt they weren’t very user friendly. I have another cutting machine that I purchased 2 years ago and use on a weekly basis, I haven’t looked at or had an interest in any of the new machines. As I sat there watching Avry cut and create project after project at the touch of button on her Ipad, I decided to get in on the action. They have a section on their web page that has projects that are ready to go. I was looking at the cards and came across this darling flamingo card. I asked Avry to help me cut and make this card for our upcoming card group. We clicked on the flamingo card project, the prompts told us the different tools, accessories and colors of cardstock we would need. We set up the machine and hit go!!! I couldn’t believe how simple it was! I don’t think I can justify a new cutting machine at this time for myself, I will defiantly take advantage of using Avry’s new machine. In the future I when I am looking to update again I will be researching the Cricut machines.
