It’s one of my favorite times of the year, Football season!!! I love how football brings our family together between watching games on TV or  watching our very own football player at practice each night and games on Saturdays.  I love watching my son learn new skills and get ready for each game.  While we cheer on our football player from the sidelines, I am always looking for ways to help my football player and his teammates get excited and ready for their game.  Several of the parents on our team began bringing a treat or incentive to Friday’s football pratices to help our team get motivated for Saturdays game we now call it “Fired up Friday!”

When it was my turn to bring our “Fired up Friday” treat I already knew that I wanted to use POWERADE and make a tag that said “Show them your POWER plays!”.  I headed to my local Wal-mart and found these POWERADE Mountain Berry Blast 12 packs in the juice and isle. While I was at it I grabbed an extra POWERADE Fruit Punch 12 pack.  So, I can keep my own football player hydrated before and during his games.  What is great is that they come in 12 packs they are the perfect size for sports team treats. Just around the corner and down to the soda isle next and picked up a Coca-Cola 12pack of cans, nothing is better than sipping on an ice cold Coca-Cola while watching a football game.

After I got home I gathered my supplies to make my “Fired up Friday!” team spirit treats. I also created a football printable with the saying “Show them your POWER plays!”.

Cut out around each football printable, next punch a hole in the top left corner.  Then measure your black tulle around the lid of the bottle leaving enough room to tie.

Powerade assembly

Cut black tulle and ribbons to desired sizes.  Tie black tulle underneath the bottle lid, then slide a football tag onto one of the black tulle ends.  Tie the football tag in place, then add additional ribbons and tie the tulle around the ribbons to hold them in place.

After practice was over I handed out the POWERADE “Fired up Friday” treat. Also it was so fun to watch the excitement on their faces as they read the tags and drank the POWERADE.
