Front porch Beachaholic Summer Sign
After I got my wooden fish bundle made to hang on my picket fence. I knew that my beach porch still needed more to feel complete. Coming across the idea for this sign that says beachaholic was just perfect! I just couldn’t help myself, I wish I lived closer to the beach. So, I decided to make my own take on the beachaholic sign.
I used a board that was 5″ by 20″ I painted the board a teal blue green color. Next I cut an umbrella silhouette and the wording “beachaholic” out of white vinyl, using my personal cutting machine. I kept the wording and the silhouette pretty simple. After the board was dry, I sanded and distressed the board with a little white wash paint. I wanted the sign to look weathered as if it had been hanging on a beach cottage! When the board was completely dry I centered and added the vinyl design and wording.
I added a layer of Mod Podge to seal the vinyl to the board. While the Modge Podge was still wet I sprinkle some decorative sand along the bottom of the board.
Last I stapled some jute on the back of the board so, that I could hang the sign from my picket fence!
