Geo Caching with Kids!
Looking for something to do with your kids this summer? Are they bored and are you going crazy? Take them Geocaching!! My mother introduced us to Geo Caching when we went up for a visit to Idaho. It occupied most of the day for myself and my girls!
When my mom mentioned taking the kids out to do it I had no idea what she was talking about! So, for those of you who do not know what Geocaching is: It is a treasure hunt game where you use a GPS to hide and seek containers or name logs with other people in the activity. The cache is usually composed of a small plastic container that houses some small items such as toys or coins. You can get hints on your phone (with a geo app) along with GPS directions on where to find the hidden treasures.
If interested take the time to look into it for your family! learn the rules and ALWAYS replace the cache for the next person to find. Record that you found the cache and make sure you add to the cache if there are trinkets inside.
check the difficulty level for kids because some are harder to find than others!
The more you have in your group the funner it can be! So mom’s get those kids out and exploring! It is actually an activity that you will enjoy with the kids I know I did!
Not recommended for children under the age of 8 (they lose focus and get bored easy) Perfect for pre teens! Could also be fun as a group church activity or group date activity!
