Glittered Shamrock layered bead board sign
I just love the holidays and making new decorations for each one. I don’t have very many St. Patrick’s decorations. I decided to make a few more to add to my collection this year. I decided to make this fun layered bead board sign. I started out by cutting bead board 10″ by 12″ , next I cut a thin piece of particle board 7″ by 10″. I painted the bead board a fun lime green color and painted the particle board black.
While the boards were drying, using my personal cutting machine I cut 6 shamrock shapes out of 2 shades of green vinyl and gold vinyl. I also cut the word “Luck” in white vinyl. When the boards were dry I applied my glaze mix to the green bead board and then applied the vinyl shamrocks and word Luck on the black board after in had been sanded to look like a chalk board.
I decided I wanted to bling it up a little more. I selected 2 of the shamrocks and painted a layer of Mod Podge on top of them and then added gold glitter over the gold shamrock and green glitter over one of the green shamrocks.
Last I used Tite bond wood glue to glue the particle board center on the bead board.
I can’t wait to add this to my St. Patricks’ day display!
