The Harvest Table Gooseberry Patch Cookbook

The Harvest Table

I am a huge fan of the Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, craft/holiday books & products. I started collecting the Gooseberry Christmas books years ago and keep adding to my collection every year! My love for Gooseberry has expanded to all cookbooks and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to review The Harvest Table cookbook.

I love the recipes in this cookbook because they are submitted by actual people who use these recipes in their own homes with their families and friends. I also love how the recipes don’t ask for items that I would have to run to the store to buy but instead they use ingredients that I normally keep in stock in my own pantry.

The Harvest Table Cookbook is newly released and is perfect for this fall & all the upcoming holidays. It is 218 pages full of Autumn favorites including: Apple-Walnut muffins, Pumpkin bars, Holiday Herb dip, Soups and stews and of course Tasty Turkey Roll-ups for all that left over turkey!

My daughter and I have been feeling in the Halloween spirit so we tried Rose’s Black Midnight Cake (found on page 187) It was easy enough for my 11 year old daughter to help out with yet filled the tummy’s of my entire family!

Here are the cakes after being cooked. Thanks Karen Boehme from Greensburg, PA for submitting this delicious cake recipe!

After the cakes were cooled we put them together (filling the center with frosting) then frosted it white and added some sprinkles on top to create a spider web! Can’t forget to add the spiders!!

Head on over to Gooseberry Patch and see all that they have to offer! I am sure you will find something you love!
