Hocus Pocus I need Hot Cocoa to Focus Mug

Hocus Pocus! It is Halloween time which brings the month of October, which brings cooler weather. I love fall and especially when it cools off like it does. The leaves are falling off the trees and I’ve pulled out my hot cocoa! So, Why not make a cute Halloween mug to enjoy my hot cocoa in?

First gather a black ceramic mug (these can be found at the dollar store for only $1.00).  When you bring the mug home make sure it is really clean before applying anything to it. The key to making this mug usable is dish washer safe mod podge. That’s right Dishwasher safe!

Apply mod podge to the bottom quarter of the black mug and instantly apply the glitter color of your choice. Add another layer of mod podge over the top of the glitter and allow it to dry.

Pick a phrase or saying that you want on your mug and cut it out in vinyl. There are a couple of different types of vinyl that you can use but regardless of what you use on your ceramic it is always good to seal it with the dishwasher safe mod podge. Lastly, make sure the mug has plenty of dry time before washing it.

With all the upcoming holidays there are many many quotes and phrases to put on mugs. Also, for a simple gift idea – fill the mugs with a hot cocoa packet or two, wrap the mug up in cellophane, add a cute glittery matching bow and feel free to give a friend or neighbor!
