Holiday Home Decor week: Red nosed Reindeer Pillows
Red Nosed Reindeer Pillows
I loved these darling Trick or Treat pillows we made for Halloween and wanted the same look for Christmas with the three pillows. So, we put on our thinking caps and came up with “Red Nosed Reindeer” Pillows.
We used the same pillows from the trick or treat one’s and just made slip cover’s to slide over the pillows. That way we aren’t storing a lot of pillow instead just the covers.
We sewed a basic square pillow with the flaps in the back to insert the pillow inside. We used a tan fabric that we already had on hand and found a cute font to use for the words. We used contact paper for our template and did the reversed method in SCAL. We used Fabric paint to paint on the inside of our template and while the paint was still wet we glittered the pillows so the glitter would stick.
Glitter just gives everything a little more sparkle!
Here is the finished project!

I saw pillows like this in a store this weekend and fell in love until I saw the price. I would never have thought they would be so easy to make on my own!

Oh my goodness, what a fantastic idea. I would never have thought of adding words to a pillow. These would cost a small fortune if you were to buy them in a department store!

While I realize you made that sound easy, if I did this it would look so whack. However it looks just wonderful coming from you.
