Holiday Home Décor Week “Rustic December 25th Board”

This week we are focusing on Holiday Home Décor.  I love Decorating for the Holidays.  Even more than decorating, I love to create and make my own Christmas home décor. There is something about having that personalized or unique one of a kind decoration in my home.  I also love the feeling of accomplishment, and proudly getting to say I made it!

I used some leftover pallet scraps to make these Rustic December 25th Boards. I cut 3 Lengths of wood, and used a tack strip on the top and bottom of the backside; to hold the boards together. Next I used my SCAL program to create a stencil out of contact paper. I just played around with different fonts until I meshed together something I liked! I placed the stencils on the boards and then sponge painted my desired colors. I also added glitter while the paint was still wet!
