How to make a simple greeting card without a computer
Greeting cards can get expensive at the store I have found that making a card at home is not that difficult and pretty easy to do. All you need is a little cardstock, some scrapbook paper, a glue stick and some embellishments. Cut your card stock to whatever size you desire and fold it in half to create a card. You can then pick out what colors match well with your cardstock. Cut your scrapbook paper to whatever size, demension or shape that you want. Glue it to the front of your card (cardstock) At this point you can add any type of embellishment that you would like. (Ribbon, buttons, flowers etc) If you have any rubber stamps you can stamp your message or if not you can just hand write it.
Sometimes it is more fun to give a handmade card then a store bought one because people know it was made with care!
I belong to a card making group and this month’s theme is “Thinking of you” Here is the card I made and will be taking tomorrow night to share.

How adorable. This is what I do now because you are so right that cards are so expensive.
When it comes to our grandchildren, I use stickers instead of the embellishments.
You can find colored envelopes at a craft store for a lot less money that the cards, that’s for sure.
Great ideas.
