How to make a Valentines card using a sewing machine
Valentines cards are always fun to give but even more so when you have made them yourself. For this Valentine card I took some plain red cardstock and cut each card into a 7″x5″ card I then folded it in half and used my cuttle bug to emboss some dots onto half of the card (the outer front of the card) So it looked like this:
Next I took a heart die cut and cut out enough hearts to put 9 hearts on the front of each card
Once I cut the hearts out I then placed them in three rows of three on top of the embossed part of the card. I layed my card flat on my sewing machine and started stitching the hearts into place on my card.
Once all the hearts were sewn on the card I cut the loose ends of the thread. Flipped the card to the inside and put a dab of crafters glue on the end of ever string so the thread wouldn’t pull out. The crafters glue dries clear but if you don’t like the looks of the stitching on the back you can cut out another piece of cardstock and glue it over the top to conceal the string.
Once dry I flipped the card and pulled up the edges of each heart to give it a 3 D look. Like alway my inspiration on this came from Pinterest.
