Irish Blessing Wood Home Decor’
I love these Irish blessings or proverbs. There are some that are very complimentary and nice but I do love a good laugh. That is why I choose this one funny little saying to spruce up my home!
Using some wood scraps or any wood you have kicking around paint them black. The background is a great geometric pattern. You can cut a template using contact paper on your personal cutting machine. Next placing the pattern over the painted board. You’ll want to use a gold permanent marker to color in the design. Next cut the Irish saying in green vinyl. The original plan was to place the wording directly over the pattern.
When I did this it was so busy that you could barley read what was written. I improvised and cut this white label to place the wording onto. To make it look finished, I cut a slightly larger green label and layered it behind the white one. I had this glitter gold ribbon that I glued across the center of the board. Then glued the Irish blessing label centered over the ribbon. I added a few gold glitter jewels across the top and bottom to glam it up!

Ha! I’ve never heard that blessing, but it is perfect. It’d make a few little leprechauns in my home chuckle.

Don’t you just love Irish proverbs and blessings? My Dad is always quoting them (and yes, we’re Irish) – this would make a great gift for him.
