Michael Angelo’s Italian Meals taste test

As a full time working mom on the go I am always looking for a fast healthy meal for my family. While in New York I met the team from Michael Angelo’s Gourmet foods and was able to sample some of their fresh Italian Lasagna. I was in heaven! Not to mention I loved the portion sizes of their entree’s

Their Italian meals are made in smaller batches to ensure you are getting the freshest ingredients and as a family owned business I know a lot more time and effort is put into making the best for my own family.
Unlike most companies that make their meals in bulk and then prepackage large orders of food to store in warehouses for weeks or even months at a time. At Michael Angelo’s, they cook, package and ship the meals direct to your grocer.

Once home from New York I decided to have my family be the true taste testers of Michael Angelo’s Italian meals.   For dinner one night (and with the assistance of the people at Michael Angelo’s foods)  I cooked  a batch of Michael Angelo’s meat lasagna  and  a batch of Stouffers meat lasagna. Yep, a good old fashioned taste test!!! But let’s just say that it ended before it ever truely began.  The Michael Angelo’s cooked so much faster then the Stouffers that the entire Michael Angelo’s entree was eaten up by the time the Stouffers was cooked all the way through. ( I use a convection oven not a conventional so not sure if that may have been the difference?)

My family was so full that none of them touched the Stouffers. So I came to the conclusion as did my husband that we preferred the Michael Angelo’ mainly because of the time it saved.  Also as working parents we liked it because it boiled down to how fast we were able to get a good hot meal on the table. Not only did my family love it but they consumed it so fast I didn’t even have time to take some pictures! Ha!  Looks like I may have to do a second taste test 😉  but I doubt it after that!

I will definately be buying Michael Angelo’s over stouffers especially for those nights that I am late getting home from work!
