Mother’s Day Finger print family tree gift
Mother’s Day Finger print family tree gift
If you’re on the search for a simple yet meaningful gift to give this Mother’s Day then you have come to right place! We made this Finger print family tree for my mom and then placed it in a nice frame. The first step to create your own finger print family tree is to find a tree silhouette you like. I found this one here at Scrapbook alphabet, by using a Google search for free tree silhouette downloads. After I found the tree I liked I then moved the image over into word. You could also use photo shop, pic monkey, or any other program that you are familiar with. I resized and centered the tree image then I added the heading “Our Family Tree” at the top. Then I added our families last name, establishment and the year. You can customize this to say whatever you desire and use any font of your choosing. I sent this to be printed on photo paper in a 11 x 14 size. The next step was quite simple also but took a little planning because with 6 other sibling I had to find a way to get all of their families finger prints. I contacted them and set up a time to meet up and also brought this to some family gatherings and over time was able to get everyone’s finger prints. I used 2 different shades of green stamp ink and let each person decide on the shade of green they wanted to use. You could also use paint if you don’t have green stamp pads on hand. After the finger prints were dry I wrote the name and birthday of each person around their finger print. The last step is to place it in a frame. This gift isn’t just coming from me. It will be a gift to our Mother from all of her children.

What an adorable idea for a Mother’s Day gift. I can’t think of a single mom that would not love to get this.

AWE we did something similar to this one year – LOVED it!! So neat! We have a rather small family so it was a feat getting the “leaves” filled up – we had to find some extended family to do so LOL

That would make an incredible Mother’s Day (or even Father’s Day) gift! That is one gift that would be cherished for years to come.

I think this is really so special! i know that as a mom, I remember these gifts that come from the heart so much more than jewelry or perfume!

We made a similar tree as a guestbook for a bird-themed baby shower. It’s such a fun & easy project.

Wha a precious idea! I’d love to make something like this for my parents. They jus celebrated 50 yeas of marriage and that would have been a fabulous gift for that occasion. My siblings are all far away but I may have to find a way to get us all to do this anyway because I just love it! thanks for sharing!
