The Olympic’s have always intrigued me and I have enjoyed being a spectator of many sports throughout my lifetime. I am amazed at the hard work and dedication that many athletes put into becoming the best that they can be. After reading about Lolo Jones (a U.S. Olympic hopeful for the 2012 London Olympics) and watching this short clip from Procter and Gamble I realized how much support, love and dedication is given to Olympic athletes by their own mother’s.

Jones attended eight schools in eight years while her single mother often held down two jobs to support her family of six. In third grade, the Jones family settled in the basement of a Des Moines-area church. Lolo attributes her success to the support of her mom and community, as well as hard work and determination. I found Lolo’s story very inspiring and came to realize that no matter what your circumstances are in life you can become whomever you choose to become

Procter and Gamble is partnering with Lolo Jones and she recently announced that Procter and Gamble (P&G) is donating $25,000 on behalf of Family Dollar to the P&G Team USA Youth Sports Fund

I would love to encourage my readers to learn more about Lolo and her incredible journey at Follow Lolo Run . She has an amazing story of love and dedication between her mother and herself. I am excited to watch her journey as she works towards the London Olympics.
