Painted Halloween Mason Jars. -

These are a HOT item in blogland right now. So many cute ways to do these jars!

Here is my version. I took 3 glass mason jars and painted them different colors using the gloss decoart paint. once dry I painted on black eyes, hair, etc. on each jar. Once dry I sprayed each jar with a clear epoxy seal coat to give them a smooth shiny appearance.

After drying overnight I dropped a tea light into the bottom of each one and look how cute they turned out!

This is a very easy and fast project! Anyone can do & they add so much character!

Here is what they look like without a tea light in them & not lit up. I have seen some versions where they have put raffia around the top & used christmas lights inside of the jars!

You want to make sure your paint is a thin coat so the light can shine through the glass. If you put the paint on too thick they don’t light up as much
