Renting a home for your family vacation

My family loves to get together but over the years we have grown, many of us have gotten married and have children of our own. Even though our family has grown we still want to spend time together and have our own children hang out with their cousins while us siblings play catch up with one another.

With all the growth it is hard to accommodate everyone in our normal everyday homes! So, we have come to the conclusion that it is easier for us to plan a vacation away from home and instead rent a home, cabin or cottage somewhere else to accommodate our entire family. Plus it is much easier on my aging parents to not have everyone come to their home.

Over the past few years our family has rented a Cabin over the holidays so we could play in the snow, drink our hot cocoa, rev up the snowmobiles and catch up on our lives.

We have also rented a beautiful house along the Oregon Coast which was perfect for kite flying, picking up sea shells, hiking, visiting light houses and of course eating that delicious bowl of clam chowder!

And we too rented a fun Lake House right next to Bear Lake (border between Idaho and Utah) where we could swim, boat, build sand castles and cook s’mores next to the campfire after relaxing in the hot tub that came along with the house!

Sometimes it is hard finding the perfect vacation home but we always seem to find one!
