Rustic Jute heart love board
Rustic Jute heart love board
I saw this idea on Kammys Korner and fell in love with how simple and natural it was. As I was walking into my garage one day. I saw the pile of hardwood flooring my brother had just brought me. I knew these hardwood planks would be perfect to remake this craft. I carried a few different cut sizes inside and got to painting. I did a quick brush of white paint over the all ready stained hardwood floor plank. While they were drying, I made a simple template on the silhouette machine. After my 1st coat of white paint was dry, I decided not to do a second coat. I really liked how rustic it looked with the streak marks and some of the wood stain showing through. Next I placed my paper template on the board and centered it. I traced the heart onto the board using a pencil.
Then I sponge painted the other letters in a bright coral color. After the coral paint dried, I glued the jute around the the heart starting from the outside into the center with a hot glue gun. Now I have a darling rustic jute heart love board! This project was really easy you could even make a template in word and cut out the letters if you don’t have cutting machine available to you.
This ended up being one of our Valentine’s Superbowl crafts! We made these to give as fun Valentine’s gifts to girlfriends & neighbors.
