Rustic wooden Heart
I fell in love with the wooden pallet hearts I have seen all over in the crafting world. I came up with a simple way to recreate my own wooden heart. I have been saving some wood flooring scraps to use for this project. I simply made myself a giant heart pattern out of paper, then I took 3 pieces of wood flooring and hooked them together using the tongue and groove that is already part of each wood piece. I traced my paper heart pattern onto the wood flooring, and then cut the heart design using a jig saw. I used liquid nails to glue the tongue and grove pieces together to hold the heart into place. Once the hearts were cut out I set them aside so the ladies had a project to work on during super bowl! When we got together we painted each board on the heart a different color. We chose a light pink, white and gray paint. After the paint was dry we sanded the hearts and the used some glaze mix to make them a little more rustic.
I am so happy with how my Rustic wooden heart turned out.

I love hearts, and I have heart jewelry, and I make heart pillows for fun. I adore this wooden heart, it is just so cute!
