Sewing Chevron Curtains

I bought some cute curtains from Motion 52 via a great deal on GiGi’s petals.  I knew they were going to be a little short but in my mind I thought they would only be maybe 1 ft. too short.  Little did I know that they would look like this!  Please try hard not to laugh!

Now as you can see they were a tad bit too short – okay let’s be honest they were over 2 feet short! So it is time to improvise.  I knew I could figure something out.  I had no fabric to add to this nor did I want to run to the store.  Then I remembered a beautiful cloth shower curtain that was my brothers from years ago.. HE NEVER USED IT.  But it was given to me and has sat in my closet for 3 years. I pulled it out and discovered it was PERFECT for adding to these curtains. The fabric was 100% cotton and the pattern looked really cute agains the chevron print.  So I cut and sewed away.

Look how cute they turned out!  I just did the curtain along one side of each window to give it a more dramatic look! But I love how much the white added to the top and bottom of the curtain.

And yes, that is a nerf gun dart in the bottom of the picture.. I have kids can you tell??
