Spray painting pine cones
I had some old pine cones that used to be scented but the scent is gone and of course I had to find a way to beautify them! Spray paint is one of my very good friends! .99 cent can of spray paint can make all the difference in the world! Look how my ugly brown pine cones look now!
Cheap and easy! I believe I did see a bundle of these at the dollar store and I know Wal-mart, Michaels etc. carries brown plain pine cones. You can paint them in any color! I did Blue, Red, Green and White. When wet you could even add glitter!!
For simple additions to your decorations add them to a jar like this!
Or you can add them to a basket like this:
You could add them to a Vase, Dangle them from ribbon or add them at the base of something like I did here!! So many ways to use these fun colorful pinecones!

Love your colored pine cones! So artful. I found this website while searching “red pine cones”. I want to spray paint some pine cones a glossy bright red, then wire them together in groups of three and five to fill in some empty spaces on my tree.
Thanks for posting these pictures. Very unique idea.

That would be really cute! When you buy spray paint make sure you get the “gloss” kind because the matte finish doesn’t look as good! I think the cluster of pinecones would be really cute! Thanks for leaving a comment!
