Repurposing an old door for the front porch
I obtained this old door through a friend’s friend. Ha-ha! That probably sounds a little confusing but somehow it ended up at my house and I thought to myself “This has potential”. Although, I didn’t know what I would end up doing with it once I got it all done I knew it would still be darling! First, I wiped and sanded the entire door down then wiped it again. Then I puttied the holes, dings and dents and let dry overnight. I then sanded the putty spots and smoothed them out. I next, taped off the center of the door and painted it gray. No, I did not put…

Polka Dot Mini Pumpkins make over DIY
During one of our many garage sale adventures we found these Mini Pumpkins. They were painted but pretty basic and just a little out dated. We were able to purchase all of the pumpkins that they had for only $1.00. These Mini Pumpkins were going to come home with us to get a little face lift! First off I sanded a few of them down to a rustic and faded orange. I made sure to get rid of the dark orange lines on the pumkins. Once they were sanded I then added glittered polka dots to the existing orange paint. The easiest way to glitter them is by putting dots of…

She has some really fun Acorn crafts and images and right now you can download the acorn box for FREE! Of course when I saw it was a free download I just knew I should make of few of these. Thinking these cute boxes will most likely make a great Thanksgiving favor for my family and friends. They are really simple to make. First cut the box on some patterned card stock and use a clear window sheet glued behind the cut out. This will keep the treats in place, I…

Advice from a Pumpkin Home Decor Wood Sign
Our friend Liz showed us this darling saying about advice from a pumpkin and she was just dying to make it! I have no idea where she saw it from for us to give credit but we were able to see a picture. Off to the Pallet yard Krystal and I went to find free wood (yet not necessarily pallet wood). We were lucky enough to find this insanely large piece of pine at the pallet yard for free! Take a look at this photo to see how large it is before cutting it! Imagine two women trying to get this home and then cutting it themselves on the table…
