Thrill of the hunt Easter sign

thrill of the hunt

With Easter right around the corner, Avry and I decided we better get to work and come up a few new fun items to add to our Easter décor.  You all know how much we love vinyl!  It is just so easy to work with.  Often Avry and stockpile wood scraps, if we are painting some for a project we will often paint a few more boards.  It is really nice to have pre-painted boards on hand.  We usually try to have white and black pre-painted boards on hand and a few colored ones.  A couple of weeks ago we painted several boards in spring and bright colors in preparation for Spring and Summer.  I am so glad that we had these boards pre-painted.  Even though this is a really simple project to start with.  We would have had to wait an hour or so for our boards to dry.  For this project Avry and I selected 12″ by 14″ boards we had pre-painted yellow.  I typed and selected the fonts in my computer program.  Then we cut our The thrill of the hunt wording our of white vinyl.  Next we centered and applied the white vinyl to our yellow boards.  Last we painted a layer of Mod Podge over our entire board and then sprinkled a iridescent glitter over top.

This project only took about 15 minutes to complete.  What crafts will you be adding to your Easter décor this year?
