Valentine Mini burlap wreath and chalkboard

My inspiration came from Tied Ribbon Mine is a mini burlap wreath. She made a full size wreath and used book pages. I honestly just used junk!!! I had lying around my house. I had this platter, that I wasn’t using anymore.  I sprayed it with chalkboard paint and that became my frame for the background. The white ring was an outer cap that came off of some lights we replaced in our home and I used the light ring for the base of my wreath. I cut scrap burlap into 2″ squares, then folded them into fourths and glued them onto the ring. I attached a loop of ribbon on the back of the platter using hot glue. This way I can hang the platter and also tie ribbon or fabric around the wreath to attach it to the platter. I made the arrow using a wooden skewer and scrap paper. I cut 2 hearts on the silhouette machine and hand cut the fins or feather’s. I hot glued the hearts and fins on the ends of the skewer. I also hot glued some string on the back of the skewer so, you can tie the arrow on to the wreath. This way it makes it so you could make the wreath interchangeable  for each season or holiday. I love it when you can turn trash into treasure! The item’s I used to make this would have been thrown away or donated. It was so much fun to make them into something useful again.
